Government Continues New Tax Code Discussions

Chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, another discussion on the draft Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia was held in the Office of Government, attended by stakeholders’ representatives. Reference was made to the proposed amendments for specific types of taxes and their eventual impact on different sectors of the economy. The representatives of the agencies concerned submitted their comments and observations on the issues discussed.

Government Approves New Electoral Code

A regular Cabinet meeting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. The Government approved the Electoral Code and a set of draft amendments to other laws. Chief of Staff Government Staff David Harutyunyan said the new Electoral Code is based on constitutional amendments. On February 10 the President of the Republic of Armenia signed a decree setting deadlines for drafting those laws deriving from the Constitution.
