Government discusses issues of repatriation

On August 20, issues of repatriation were discussed in the Office of Government, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to ensure proper coordination and synergy between different programs intended for Armenian repatriates, develop new programs and incorporate them into a single package, if necessary. He noted that the programs should have both short-term and long-term components.

The assessment of repatriates’ needs, the identification of possible problems and availability of necessary resources were highlighted during the meeting. The meeting agenda also featured issues related to repatriates’ education, health and economic activities.
