Mher Grigoryan attends opening of Anti-Counterfeit 2019 International Conference

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan attended the opening of the 7th Anti-Counterfeit International Forum in Yerevan, organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia with the assistance of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Anti-Counterfeit International Association. Issues of combating the illicit trafficking of industrial products, including the protection of intellectual property rights will be discussed during the two-day forum.

Addressing the forum with opening remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked all those present on behalf of the Government of Armenia for taking part in this important event. Mher Grigoryan considered the holding of the forum in Armenia very important, since the fight against illicit product trafficking, including the problems of protecting intellectual property rights are of paramount importance throughout the world, and specifically in Armenia, given the geographical and geopolitical situation of our country.

The Deputy Premier stressed the need for dealing with regulatory inconsistencies in this area, and in other fields on the part of EAEU-member states. Mher Grigoryan considered this forum to be a good opportunity to discuss compliance with regulations and legislation, as well as exchange expert opinions. According to Mher Grigoryan, events like that help identify mechanisms that can work effectively throughout the EAEU.

Summing up the discussion, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan wished the forum successful proceedings.
