Mher Grigoryan Receives Chinese Delegation


Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Trade of the People’s Republic of China Yu Jianhua, who arrived in Armenia to attend the 10th meeting of the Armenian-Chinese joint commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Welcoming the guests, the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the PRC Deputy Minister of Trade-attended meeting of the Armenian-Chinese joint commission, being held in Yerevan. Mher Grigoryan noted that there are all necessary prerequisites to tap the great potential that exists between the two countries in the field of trade and economic cooperation.

Touching upon the transit potential and advantages of our country, the Deputy Premier presented the opportunities that Armenia offers to potential investors. He expressed hope that through joint efforts it would be possible to achieve tangible results in the development of business ties and contacts between the two countries.

The Chinese Deputy Minister of Trade thanked the Armenian Deputy Prime Minister for the reception, stressing that the presence of the Chinese delegation at the meeting of the Armenian-Chinese Joint Commission points to China’s willingness to develop bilateral relations with Armenia.

The Chinese Deputy Minister spoke about our two nations’ historical ties and affinities, stressing that strong with significant contributions made to the development of mankind, the Armenian and Chinese ancient civilizations face new opportunities for cooperation.

The interlocutors exchanged views on deepening and expanding cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical spheres, and other fields of mutual interest. The parties touched upon Armenia’s participation in regional programs, and the importance of implementing major infrastructure programs in Armenia, as well as on the need to give them a regional character.

The interlocutors expressed hope that from now on the contacts between Armenia and China will become more active and bilateral relations will reach a new level.
