Mher Grigoryan Chairs Eurasian Economic Council Meeting
The Eurasian Economic Council (EAEC) met today in Moscow, chaired by RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
The meeting agenda featured issues related to the draft EAEU budget for 2020 and ways of removing the barriers available in the Union’s internal market, including the status of drivers employed in EAEU-member countries.
The meeting also discussed the draft resolution on the vectors of EAEU international activities in 2020, the harmonization of the applicable laws on gas transportations and supplies between EAEU-member States. The EAEC Board members were introduced to the Trans-Boundary Employment - Unified Border System project, which is supposed to promote job opportunities in EAEU-member countries and address employment issues.
The meeting approved the agenda of the forthcoming session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, as well as a number of decisions on imports of specific goods into the single customs area.
