The Government of the Republic of Armenia

RF Premier Dmitry Medvedev sent a congratulatory message to Karen Karapetyan on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, which reads as follows:

“Dear Karen Vilhelmovich,

On behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, I am cordially congratulating you on being appointed as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

Russia and Armenia are bound by allied relations of close partnership, which are pinned up by solid traditions of friendship, mutual respect and trust. I am confident that the furtherance of cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, investment, research, culture and other areas, as well as the deepening of integration in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union are in the best interest of our two countries.

I wish to stress my readiness for constructive joint efforts along the lines of interaction between the Governments of Russia and Armenia.
