PM Visits Armenian Tablet Manufacturing Company







Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan visited Technology and Science Dynamics R&D Company, which is operating in Alliance free economic zone and produces ArmTab tablets and ArmPhone mobile phones. The Prime Minister toured the company inspecting the production process and getting acquainted with the development plans.

The Premier was told that in terms of quality the tablets are in no way inferior to the ones manufactured by world-famous brands. Equipped with modern systems and applications, they have a more affordable market price.

Last year Technology and Science Dynamics launched a program of providing schools with ArmTab tablets. Some 700 tablets have already been made available under the program which is to be continued throughout this year.

The Company was said to be selling its products both at home and abroad. Negotiations are underway with Armenian telecom companies over selling the products on the retail market of Armenia.

Technology and Science Dynamics is cooperating with foreign partners to develop research projects. Currently the company has 117 employees, and is expected to gradually increase this number.

Talking to news reporters, Prime Minister Abrahamyan hailed the company, noting that he is pleased to say that it has a great future. Hovik Abrahamyan emphasized that the Government will continue to support the IT sector, considering it a priority. The Premier said to have instructed the Ministry of Economy to provide continued support and discuss each project, if necessary. The Head of Government expressed confidence that the domestic IT sector has a great future and, therefore, it will be the focus of his government.

Note that in order to have highly qualified professionals in the IT sector, the Government has for a while now been founding engineering and robotics labs and workshops in schools.
