Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s Message on Agricultural Worker’s Day

Dear representatives of the agricultural sector,

I warmly congratulate you on Agricultural Worker’s Day, which for the fifth consecutive year has been marked in our country as an official holiday.

I am extending my gratitude to you for dedicated and hard work. No matter of how much importance modern technologies may be to different spheres of economy; the love of land, human warmth and care will remain decisive factors in ensuring the quality of agricultural products.

Agriculture is of strategic importance to our country. In the first eight months of 2015, the farming sector boasted the highest growth rate in the economy of the Republic of Armenia, which is certainly the outcome of your tireless work. I assure you that agriculture and rural development will be kept in spotlight by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

We are taking continuous and consistent steps to reform and modernize the farming sector, improve our farmers’ welfare and living standards. Rest assured that the State will always back you in time of hardship.

Reiterating my congratulations, I wish you robust health, prosperity and fruitful work.
