Armenian-Russian Energy Cooperation Discussed
Armenian, Russian Cabinet members met today in the Office of Government to discuss development and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
The Armenian side was represented by Vice Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reform Vache Gabrielyan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Iosiph Isayan. The Russian side consisted of Russia co-chair of the Armenian–Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov and other officials.
The meeting reviewed the ongoing joint projects and the prospective areas for closer cooperation in the energy sector. The parties took the opportunity to discuss the situation related to the Armenian Electric Networks CJSC.
