PM instructs strict control over gas stations

A Cabinet sitting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

Before the meeting, the Prime Minister asked the Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Management which studies have been carried out in connection with recent explosions at gas stations. Minister Armen Yeritsyan informed that the Echmiadzin highway gas station had been tested six months before, after which it was fined 1 million AMD, as there were numerous shortcomings that had to be eliminated, but this was not done. Yesterday I instructed to intensify the ongoing work with gas stations. Deficiencies will be reported to the Prime Minister, if necessary, those stations with irregularities will be suspended.

The Prime Minister instructed to tighten control over security issues and constantly monitor them.

The Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Management were told to examine how many anti-hail stations are necessary for full protection of agricultural areas. The Agriculture Minister was also instructed to submit a certificate about the consequences of hailstorms at the next meeting of the Government.

The Government amended a previously adopted a resolution “On Approval of the Order of Donation of Residential Areas Assigned to Administrative Public Institutions,” which is dictated by the need to clarify and update the conditions of donation of housing to tenants and ensure authenticity of the documents.

The Government through the quarterly reallocation of budgetary allocations increased by 60 million drams the amount for the first six months of the Official Trips Abroad spending program, leaving unchanged the annual amount provided for the appropriations.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has set the task to reduce the number of business trips as much as possible. This, of course, does not refer to very important trips, but if the issue is not too important, travel requests should be rejected. A similar instruction was given to the Office of Government.

The meeting also approved a draft law on introducing amendments to the state property privatization program for 2006-2007, the development of which is due to the inclusion of Haypost CJSC in the shortlist of companies with the state share. The privatization of the company is expected to help attract private investment, increase financial flows, modernize the company and develop postal services.

The aforementioned draft laws will be submitted to the National Assembly in the prescribed manner.

Pursuant to the presidential decree of May 19, 2015 “On holding summer recruitment in 2015 and implementation of demobilization,” in order to ensure proper coordination, the Government decided to set up national and regional draft boards, approve their composition and the composition of the central medical commission and conduct the call-up campaign in May-July.
