PM Introduces Newly Appointed Head of State Water Committee
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian introduced newly appointed Head of State Water Committee Aram Haroutunyan to the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture-affiliated State Water Committee.
Appreciating Aram Haroutunyan’s long service experience and professional skills, the Prime Minister said that the State Water Committee is expected to work more effectively along the lines outlined by the Government.
“We have a number of key activities scheduled for this year, such as the building of new reservoirs, which needs a closer focus and consistent work. I am sure that your experience and knowledge may make the system work better,” the head of government said.
Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of improvements in the system of irrigation and water supply, as well as in other priority areas.
Noting that much has yet to be done in this area, the Premier said the Committee boasts a strong team of professionals, which as led by the new Head of Committee can address any problem faced in the field of water management.
The Prime Minister congratulated Aram Haroutunyan and wished him fruitful work. In turn, Aram Haroutunyan thanked the President and the Prime Minister for confidence and assured that through teamwork his agency will be able to work effectively and successfully.
