Prospects of cooperation with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank discussed




Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received a delegation led by Black Sea Trade and Development Bank President Ihsan Delikanli.

Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of effective interaction with the Bank, which is aimed at strengthening Armenia’s private sector. The Premier stressed that his government is doing extensive work to improve the business environment and reduce the shadow economy.

Both sides pointed to the importance of cooperating and implementing joint projects in information technology, agriculture, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and industry.

Thankful for reception, Ihsan Delikanli noted that taking into account the priorities of the Armenian government, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank attaches great importance to the furtherance and expansion of cooperation with Armenia’s real sector.

He stressed that his organization is ready to assist the government to improve the business environment. The Bank also plans to organize a joint business forum in our country.

The guest went on to inform that the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank has signed a new loan agreement with the private sector, with the proceeds of the loan to be directed toward the development of small and medium entrepreneurship in Armenia.

The meeting agenda comprised other issues related to bilateral cooperation.
