Vayots-Dzor schools to be equipped with computer classrooms





Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Republic of Armenia Suresh Babu.

Highly appreciative of the current level of bilateral relationship, the Prime Minister said, “Armenia is interested in expanding and deepening relations with India. There is great potential to further strengthen and develop relations between the two countries in different fields of activity.”

Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of reciprocated top-level visits that can give a new impetus to the Armenian-Indian ties.

The Prime Minister and the Indian Ambassador discussed a broad range of issues on activating trade and economic cooperation between individual regions.

The Ambassador advised that a number of Armenian IT companies are going to attend a major exhibition in India. The parties expressed the hope that it might help implement new joint projects.

Hovik Abrahamyan took the opportunity to thank the government of India for the educational projects carried out in Tavush and Lori Marzes of Armenia.

Later on Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the Indian Embassy signed a memorandum of understanding on establishment of computer classrooms in Vaiotz-Dzor Marz.

Attended by the Prime Minister, the document was signed by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Executive Director Ara Vardanyan and Indian Ambassador to Armenia Suresh Babu.

The memorandum provides that all secondary schools in Vayots-Dzor will be equipped with new computers and an internal network will set up in educational institutions.
