PM Welcomes AGBU President



Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Perch Sedrakyan and member of AGBU Central Board Vazgen Yagubyan.

The head of government appreciated the Union’s Mission aimed at facilitating the development of the Armenian people’s spiritual, educational and cultural potential and expressed readiness to back any initiative or program implemented by AGBU in Armenia and in the Diaspora to preserve the Armenian identity and fortify Homeland.

AGBU President Perch Sedrakyan stressed that their programs should seek to strengthen ties with the Motherland and the Diaspora. The parties went on to discuss progress in those programs carried out with the assistance of the AGBU in different areas, as well as future activities.

Hovik Abrahamyan and Perch Sedrakyan exchanged views on mobilizing the Diaspora around all-national goals, promoting the Armenian identity, developing education and a number of other issues.
