By Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s decision, Vakhtang Mirumyan was relieved of the office of Deputy Head of State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. In accordance with another decision signed by the Prime Minister, Vakhtang Mirumyan was appointed to be Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2011, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s appreciation letter. During work at the Ministry of Finance, he attended a series of workshops on fiscal policy abroad. As head of the Armenian delegation, he coordinated the talks on double taxation avoiding agreements with other countries. Fluent in English and Russian, he has authored several research papers.
