Armenian families to host Diaspora participants of the Come Home program “Quantum” vocational school to be provided extra opportunities The cost of the concert program dedicated to the International Women’s Day to be reimbursed

Last year, the 8 stages of the Come Home program were attended by 920 representatives from the Armenian Diaspora representing 34 countries.

Either this year, in parallel to Armenian families’ hosting young Diaspora Armenians, “Come Home” campus will be organized.

A draft Government decision, included in the agenda of today’s Cabinet sitting, was developed by the Ministry of Diaspora, given the experience of previous years, as well as the proposals made by the participants involved and partner organizations. In 2014, up to 1000 youth representatives of the Armenian Diaspora are expected to arrive in Armenia.

“Quantum” is not only one of the leading schools in Armenia, but also an internationally recognized comprehensive scientific and innovational center, a number of developments of which have already been applied in general education.

Graduates receive a State high school certificate, and enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program - a diploma MB, which is the basis for admission without entrance examinations in many leading universities.

Based on the above, as well as considering the fact that the question of premises is vital to “Quantum,” the Government decided to donate a number of buildings. “Quantum” in turn introduced an investment program, under which they will invest an amount of about 100 million drams over the next five years.

The Government pointed out the importance of the “Only Love” large-scale concert program, dedicated to the International Women’s Day, undertaken with the participation of famous singers, presenters, dance groups. Since the cost of implementation had not been budgeted for the Ministry of Culture in 2014, the meeting decided that the Ministry should be allocated nearly 22.5 million drams for transfer as a donation to the organizer of the concert – “Armenian Jazz 70 years’” NGO.
