University Accreditation Program Discussed With European Experts
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation of European experts who are in Armenia to carry out external evaluation for the Vocational Training Quality National Center Foundation.
The meeting discussed the pace of university accreditation program. “We attach great importance to the institute of accreditation and the introduction of higher educational standards in the universities of Armenia. A large amount of work has already been done to that effect,” the Prime Minister noted.
The head of government said that among the chief objectives of the Board of Trustees of the Vocational Training Quality National Center Foundation is to ensure independence in the activities of the Accreditation Committee.
Asked so by the European experts, Tigran Sargsyan next spoke about the pace of the ongoing reforms in the field of higher education.
Welcoming the Government’s educational policy, the experts expressed readiness to provide assistance with the accreditation process.
