Time Has Come To Answer
Prior to the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan referred to the consultation on ineffective spending of State budget funds, which was held at the Presidency in September, 2012.
“A large amount of work has been done since the consultation: several key decisions were made, instructions issued and agency staff trained. The time has come to give the answers. The Finance Ministry has conducted surveys to see how things stand today. All relevant materials will be available to you for consideration. The time has come to answer – we will be tough regarding any violation. Mr. Sargsyan, I am now directing you to send all disclosure-related materials to law enforcement agencies, as well as to submit regular accounts on the outcome of annual inspections so that the public at large could come aware of their findings. At one of the forthcoming government meetings we will look at the findings agency-per-agency in order to see where we have improvements and where the situation is still unsatisfactory.”
