Tigran Sargsyan Receives IMF Armenia Mission Head
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Head of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Armenia Mission Mark Horton.
The meeting agenda featured Armenia’s economic status, development trends, ongoing reforms, business environment and foreign investment.
Referring to the situation in agriculture in the wake of the hailstorm, Mark Horton noted that the joint response of the Government and the Central Bank was quick and targeted. Mr. Horton also said that the level of State budget deficit was maintained as planned, which could help ensure economic stability.
Highly appreciative of the outgoing three-year program, referred to as “Extended Funding" and “Extended Lending,” the interlocutors discussed issues related to the new joint program.
