Scientific Council Holds Meeting
Chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the Scientific Council met in the Office of Government.
The first agenda item was the seismic stability of residential buildings. It was noted that the Town Hall of Yerevan has imposed a ban on the construction of attic facilities by citizens. A working group is operational to draft a legislative package and submit proposals on how to raise the necessary resources.
The meeting next discussed a report entitled “Assessment of chemical industry resources and technical capacity” stemming from the small and medium-size chemistry development program. It was decided to carry out additional surveys in anticipation of another debate on the development of domestic capacity.
In conclusion, the council discussed a developing program for “Research and Development on Chemical Substances” CJSC.
The meeting agenda comprised other issues of topical concern.
