PM To Pay Working Visit To Federal Republic of Germany and United States

On December 6-14, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan will be paying a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and the United States.

On December 6, the Prime Minister-led government delegation will call at Frankfurt for a two-day visit to take part in a Kommerzbank-hosted business conference and meet with the Bank’s leadership.

On the sidelines of his visit, the Premier will have meetings with the regional authorities, the representatives of leading German companies and with the Armenian community of Frankfurt. The Prime Minister will also attend an exposition dated to the 500th anniversary of the Armenian typography at «Gutenberg» Museum.

On December 8, Tigran Sargsyan will leave Frankfurt for the U.S. state of California. On the first day of a three-day working visit, the Prime Minister will visit Kaltek University to meet with the leadership of the University, as well as with California-based Armenian scientists. The meeting will be attended by U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff.

On December 9, the Prime Minister will go to Getti Museum to watch the early 14th-century Renaissance paintings of Florence. He will also call at Getti pad to see the 8 pages of the famous Zeytoun Gospel. Then Tigran Sargsyan will arrive in Berbank for a visit to the Western Primacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America where he will meet with Southern California community representatives.

On the third day of his visit, the Prime Minister will go to Stanford University to attend a plenary session of the ArmTech Congress where he will deliver a speech. The Prime Minister will visit the Plug and Play computer business incubator to attend the opening ceremony of the Armenian IT company headquarters and the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the founding of a venture fund in Armenia. Another memorandum of understanding is due to be signed with Intel on the establishment of a research center in Armenia. Tigran Sargsyan is also scheduled to visit the IBM’s Almaden Research Center to meet with the IBM leadership.

On December 11, the head of government will travel to Boston to take part in a Harvard University-hosted seminar at the Belfair Center. Tigran Sargsyan will call at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he will meet with Armenian students and the community.

On December 14, the government delegation will be back to Yerevan.

The delegation will comprise Chief of Government Staff David Sargsyan, Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan, Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik Beglaryan, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Karine Minasyan, other officials.
