PM Discusses Armenian Reforms With Students From Yerevan School Of Political Studies

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with students from the Yerevan School of Political Studies.

The head of government delivered a lecture on the global developments, challenges and remedies.

The meeting discussed the government program of 2012-2017, touching on the ongoing reforms and target areas, over which the speakers presented their own opinions.

Tigran Sargsyan said the middle class is a basic prerequisite for the development and strengthening of our State. The Armenian authorities were said to have the political will necessary for solving the problem. “If we fail to raise the middle class in our country, we will face serious problems on the way to building a civil society. This is sought with the tools proposed in our program considering that strong statehood implies a strong middle class,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

The meeting was attended by Head of EU Delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea, Polish Ambassador Zdislaw Rachinsky, Bulgarian Ambassador Georgy Karastamatov, representatives of different embassies.

The audience thanked the Prime Minister for quite an interesting lecture, as well as for taking the time to answer their questions.
