Farewell Meeting With Outgoing German Ambassador



Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received outgoing German to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt.

“We are interested in the strengthening and expanding of the Armenian-German relations. Our cooperation is vital to the process of Armenia’s European integration,” Tigran Sargsyan emphasized.

Noting that the joint programs stand out for their efficiency, the Prime Minister said to be looking forward to increasing their number and scope.

Thanking Tigran Sargsyan for cooperation, Hans-Jochen Schmidt hailed the Premier’s assistance in attracting German investments. The Ambassador stressed his country’s reciprocated interest in maintaining active and multifaceted ties of cooperation with Armenia.

In this context, the parties discussed programs in energy, education, humanitarian and other spheres.

Touching on Armenia’s euro-integration effort, the interlocutors talked about the ongoing deep and comprehensive free trade zone negotiations.

The Ambassador assured that he will continue endeavoring toward the strengthening of the Armenian-German relationship.

Thanking Hans-Jochen Schmidt for the work done in Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan wished him every success in future activities.
