Tigran Sargsyan Receives Governor of Milan
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Governor of Milan Guido Podesta.
Welcoming the guest, the Prime Minister said: “We are glad to host you in Armenia. We should avail ourselves of this opportunity to find new ways of cooperation and build on the bilateral ties.”
Noting that excellent relations are up with the Armenian community of Milan, Guido Podesta said cooperation can be successful in several prospective areas.
As to the promotion of business relations, the Governor of Milan advised that an important delegation of Italian businessmen is due to arrive in Armenia this November on the sidelines of 2014 World Cup qualifier Armenia-Italy soccer game.
The interlocutors discussed Italian partners’ involvement in the North-South Highway, NPP and other investment projects.
The parties talked over the possibility of attracting Italian investments into Armenia’s newly established free economic zones, as well as cooperating in textile industry, precision engineering, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, culture, education and tourism.
