RA Prime Minister Stressed the Importance of the Cooperation of CIS Member States in the Sphere of Urban Development and the Implementation of Joint Projects
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the participants of the CIS Intergovernmental Council sitting for cooperation in the sphere of construction, headed by Minister of Regional Development of the Russian Federation Victor Basargin.
"I am sure that such meetings are very useful; not only they promote the exchange of experience and elaboration of new ways to solve the existing issues, but also contribute to the expansion of cooperation and strengthening of friendly relations between our countries," the Prime Minister said.
Victor Basargin thanked the Head of the Government for organizing the sitting of the CIS Intergovernmental Council for cooperation in the sphere of construction and presented the primary issues of the agenda. The participants of the sitting noted that all the possible preconditions for the development of the construction sphere between the CIS member states are available. The Minister of Regional Development of Russian Federation said that the partnership agreement developed in that direction provides an introduction of new norms of licensing, certification, construction standards, which will contribute to solving of systematic problems.
Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of the implementation of joint projects and strategic actions in the sphere of urban development.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government is focused on the restoration and seismic resistance provision issue of the housing built in the Soviet times. New mechanisms and projects are being worked out in that direction.
