PM Visits Anania Shirakatsi Lyceum and Pre-school Establishment On Teacher Day

On Teacher Day, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Anania Shirakatsi lyceum and pre-school establishment. The head of government was briefed on the activities and development plans of the educational institutions. The lyceum hosts 600 pupils, with 300 children hosted in the pre-school establishment.

Extending his Teacher Day-timed congratulations, Tigran Sargsyan said teachers have played a unique role throughout the history of our people and have always enjoyed public respect. “And this is not accidental as the Armenian nation has always eyed the future. We used to cherish the hope that we could build a sovereign nationhood – the country of our dream. Teachers were at forefront of our aspirations as the State’s future depends on the way the generations are educated.”

According to the head of government, Anania Shirakatsi educational compound boasts a place of its own in our country’s educational system to win the public’s trust and appreciation thanks to a 30-year-long valuable contribution to education in Armenia. Tigran Sargsyan wished new academic achievements to the teaching staff and pupils.

Compound Director Ashot Alikhanyan presented Tigran Sargsyan with a commemorative medal for promoting its activities.
