Tigran Sargsyan Receives Opposition MPs
Shortly after today’s cabinet sitting, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received MPs from “Heritage” faction Anahit Bakhshyan and Armen Martirosyan.
The dismantling of kiosks and stalls downtown Yerevan has been discussed. Note that commenting on the matter at the Cabinet sitting the Mayor of Yerevan advised that no mass dismantling of stalls will take place in the capital: an individual approach will be shown and stalls will be dismantled only in case of emergency.
The head of the government reminded that the citizens’ letters addressed to the government state that many stall-owners have got development credits and if the stalls are dismantled, the operators will find themselves in a difficult financial position.
All the stall-owners concerned were urged to turn to the heads of respective administrative districts. In turn, the latter have been instructed to do everything so that no social tensions may occur in the capital city.
