Tigran Sargsyan Visits Ararat Marz

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan was off on a working trip to Ararat marz today.

The head of government first called at Aquatechautomatics sturgeon-breeding company of Masis town where he was introduced to the ongoing activities and development programs of the company.

Currently the company has sales outlets in Armenia, the CIS and Georgia. It has concluded several export deals this year to a total cost of AMD 700mn.

The investment committee of Armenia Rural Areas Economic Development Fund (RAEDF) has approved an investment program for Aquatechautomatics CJSC under which the corporate equity was replenished with some 200 million drams and a new culture of corporate management was introduced.

The funds so allocated allowed the company to procure 6 state-of-the-art plastic pools which according to engineering experts are more performing and cost-effective than the concrete ones. Each of these pools can host up to 7 tons of fish.

Note that as a result of investments made by the RAEDF, the company has purchased oxygen generators, aerators and laboratory devices, with part of the proceeds used to replenish the sturgeon’s female population.

There is no need in changing land category and implementing large-scale civil work while installing plastic pools. Assembled in a short period of time, these pools can be exploited for about 25 years.

To ensure a more effective and targeted use of water resources, the application of water-meters by local fisheries is kept in focus and closely monitored by the government.

Aintap village was Tigran Sargsyan’s next port of call. There are 2 general schools operational in Aintap, attended by 1035 schoolchildren. Strong with some 925 children of pre-school age, the village has no kindergarten at this point of time. A kindergarten for 140 children is due to be built over there the design and cost estimate documents of which are in place already.

The head of government was shown the layout of the 1400 sq. meter-wide new kindergarten which will be two-storied and shall consist of two blocks. The project has a total cost of AMD 315mn.

The Prime Minister next visited kindergarten N2 of Masis town where he got acquainted its facilities and problems. The kindergarten needs upgrading. Reconstruction is due to start shortly.

The central heating network was refurbished in 2009. Constructed as early as in 1980, the kindergarten currently hosts 120 children.

In his capacity of a member of the political board of the Republican Party of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan handed out party tickets to 100 inhabitants Masis town. Congratulating the RPA new members, the Prime Minister stated in part: “As you are joining the RPA, you must back the President of Armenia in coping with the social and economic problems facing the country. In the aftermath of the global financial and economic crisis, you have made a courageous decision to share in the hardships to be met with ahead. This means that your decision is well-devised and you have great expectations from the RPA which is the only one in a position to deal with today’s difficult situation and solve those numerous social and economic problems highlighted by the people.”

According to the Premier, society needs to get in touch the leadership of the country through direct participation in those reforms carried out by the Government of Armenia.

“You may rest assured that we need your backing because any reform can only be successful if supported by the population. It is not a secret that the government may easily come under attack in a poverty-hit country like Armenia. But, strong with a keen sense of responsibility, we should understand that progress will not be possible without joint efforts. Amid thriving political speculations, very often Armenian citizens lack the possibility of getting accurate information on the strategic programs underway in the Republic of Armenia and the path which can lead us to development,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

In conclusion, Tigran Sargsyan thanked the new RPA members who are supposed to assist the authorities with their public outreach-targeted efforts.
