Prime Minister Visits French Embassy

On the national holiday of the French Republic, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the French embassy in Armenia to attend a gala reception.

Congratulating embassy staff on behalf of the Armenian government, Tigran Sargsyan said the national holiday of France is an exceptional one which is marked not only in France, but also in other countries due to its great meaning. “The French holiday inspires progressive thinking people worldwide to fight for freedom, justice, equality and democracy. The national holiday of France provides guidance to all those societies inclusive of us which abide by the above-stated values in implementing democratic reforms.”

The Armenian-French relations were said to be deeply rooted in history. Though, according to Tigran Sargsyan, what matters most is their future status.

The Prime Minister is convinced that our newborn State which is marking the 20th anniversary of independence may have new economic, social and political achievements through continued cooperation with the French Republic.
