Prime Minister Awards Winners of “My Community” Essay Contest
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the gala award of the winners of “My Community” essay contest at the National Picture Gallery of Armenia. Organized in the framework of jubilee events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of formation the system of local self-government in Armenia, the competition involved upper grade pupils representative of some 200 public schools from marzes and Yerevan.
The following schoolchildren were recognized as the authors of 3 best essays: 11-grade Vahagn Galstyan from Khendzoresk village secondary school (Syunik marz), 11-grade Sona Alexanyan from Sevan town high school after Kh. Abovyan and 10-grade Ani Aslanyan from secondary school N105 of Yerevan.
Head of jubilee commission, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan handed out the awards to the winners of the competition.
The teachers of 14 best schoolchildren were awarded with the special diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science. The Ministry of Territorial Administration presented the schools with the full set of Fridjoff Nansen’s works consisting in 15 volumes.
In conclusion, the schoolchildren in attendance got photographed with the Prime Minister who undersigned the books.
