Prime Minister welcomes Tina Kaidanow

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today Tina Kaidanow, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.

Welcoming Ms. Kaidanow to the Office of Government, Tigran Sargsyan noticed that meetings like this might help push ahead with bilateral cooperation.

Thanking the Prime Minister for reception, Ms. Kaidanow said much had been done following last October’s fruitful meeting.

The head of government briefed the guest on EU- and US-assisted Armenian reforms in the field of democracy, human rights and judiciary which are expected to yield tangible results in the near future. In this context, the Prime Minister touched on public sector reforms which seek to improve the quality of State-administered services.

Diversification and the government’s focus on information technologies, food processing and tourism were said to be crucial to economic development in Armenia.

Appreciative of Tigran Sargsyan’s approaches, Tina Kaidanow gave assurances of continued full support for the government’s ongoing efforts.
