National Vocational Training Quality Center Board of Trustees’ meeting




The National Vocational Training Quality Center Foundation (NVTQCF) Board of Trustees met at the Office of Government, presided at by BOT chairman, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

To begin with, the meeting heard the 2010 financial and annual activity reports of the Foundation. Foundation Director Ruben Topchyan reported on the works executed within the fiscal year. In particular, he touched on the steps carried out in the direction of system engineering of internal and external maintenance of quality of structure, pilot institutional and accreditation programs, as well as on the results of international cooperation. The Board approved the submitted reports.

The Board next was submitted the program of action for 2011 which stipulates introduction of a system of internal maintenance of quality and constant realization of experimental programs institutional and accreditation programs in the current year in educational institutions. Then an exchange of opinions unfolded during which the BOT members voiced proposals.

In this connection, the head of government ordered to put into circulation the amended version of the program on external evaluation of education quality for institutional and accreditation programs of primary, secondary and higher educational institutions of Armenia. The amended 2011 program of action was approved by the meeting.

The sitting went on to discuss organizational questions The Board decided to expand the premises available to the Foundation for the exercise of its statutory functions. The Prime Minister ordered to submit the cost estimate of restoration activities to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia.
