Discussion of 2010 ministry activity reports begins

The Government started discussing yearend ministry and agency activity reports for 2010.

To begin with, the Prime Minister pointed out that the priority tasks specified in the 2010 program of government activities, as well as those achievements and shortfalls stated throughout its implementation will be highlighted during the discussion.

Reports were delivered by the Ministers of Education and Science, Urban Development, Transport and Communication, Finance, Nature Protection. The members of government spoke on the priorities stemming from program of government and those actions carried out toward their implementation.

On hearing the ministerial reports, the head of government referred to the ministries’ compliance with the assignments issued in 2010. As a common task, the Prime Minister singled out the need for the streamlining of internal audit-related matters within the government agencies.

Down to the shortfalls, Tigran Sargsyan demanded submitting explanatory notes concerning each of them.

The ministers reported back the reasons behind the shortfalls and the incidences of delay and mismanagement. Focusing on them, the Prime Minister charged the heads of government agencies to take them under personal control.
