CANDLE Project Coordinating Council Meeting
CANDLE project coordinating council met in a regular sitting held in the Office of Government, chaired by council head, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
First, the meeting took note of a report presented by education and science ministry’s State research committee head Samvel Harutunyan’s on the talks held with Russia, France, Germany and China and follow-up steps.
Construction of AREAL high frequency laser accelerator on the basis of German equipment was discussed under agenda item 2.
Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan was told to prepare and submit jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science and the State Property Management Department by the Government a draft government decree on assignment of a plot of land for construction of CANDLE headquarters.
Director of YSU Scientific-Research Center on Use of Synchrotron Radiation Vasili Tsakanov was elected to be coordinator for the project’s initial stage.
