The Prime Minister extends congratulations on German people’s national holiday

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended today a reception hosted the German embassy in Armenia on the 20th anniversary of Germany reunification.

Addressing the event, the Prime Minister stated in part: “Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the day of reunification and unity. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, I am taking this opportunity to extend my best wishes of peace, happiness, prosperity, every success and progress for the people of Germany. This day 20 years ago the German people’s long-cherished dream – the reunification of the two German States - came true. It stands as a history-making event not only for the people of Germany, but also on a European and global scale.

Armenian-German ties have displayed quite good dynamics of development in recent years. The Federal Republic of Germany is taking a significant share in Armenia’s political, economic and welfare reforms. This process was given a strong boost during RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s last June visit to Germany. We deeply believe that our bilateral relations can be strengthened further on to the benefit of the two States and peoples.”
