The Prime Minister received organizers of Golden Apricot film festival

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Director General of Golden Apricot 7th international film festival Haroutune Khachatryan, artistic director Susanna Haroutunyan and program director Mikael Stamboltsyan.

Thanking the Prime Minister for reception, the guests said that the event keeps on expanding its geographical coverage and the range of films presented at the festival which enjoys wide international recognition. This time the festival has brought together hundreds of film-figures from both Armenia and abroad. Armenian films are kept in focus all the way during the festival. The organizers invited the Prime Minister to attend the events hosted on the sidelines of the festival.

Emphasizing the importance of this festival, the head of government spoke about the bottlenecks faced by Armenian movie makers. In this context, he singled out the efforts toward drafting a cinema development concept supposed to incorporate the best of international experience and provide for progress in the sphere of motion picture arts.

The interlocutors next touched upon the idea of mobilizing the potential of Armenian film-makers on a global scale and went on to discuss motion picture development and distribution-related issues.
