North-South Road Corridor Investment Program Governing Council Meets
The North-South Road Corridor investment program governing council met, chaired by council head, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
The council discussed and approved the company lists for first-tranche construction technical control and second-tranche detailed engineering design activities.
North-South Road Corridor investment program implementing entity Chief Executive Director Felix Pirumyan reported on the second stage of the program concerning the alienation of real estate by Ashatarak-Talin road section, which was taken note of by the council. The Prime Minister said that a number of items in the technical proposal should be given a more accurate definition in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice.
The meeting took note of the report on the north-south road corridor investment program memorandum (first and second tranches) as prepared by an ADB mission which was in Yerevan from May 28 to June 4, 2010. The mission had monitored development and progress under the first tranche and preparative work under the second tranche.
The meeting discussed and took note of the annual cost estimate report of North-South Road Corridor Implementing Entity SNCO. Tigran Sargsyan charged the Ministry of Finance to allocate funds for the settlement of the first six months’ actual spending.
