Top-level statesmen visit Artashat cannery

Accompanied by several MPs, members of government and businessmen, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and Prosperous Armenia Party parliamentary faction head Gagik Tsarukyan attended the opening of a new fruit processing line at Artfood cannery in Artashat town.

Tigran Sargsyan and Hovik Abrahamyan looked round the factory premises to get acquainted with the existing capacities and output range. The head of government addressed those present stating in part: “This new production line will open up new possibilities for the purchase of local farm produce to give a strong boost to the farming sector nationwide. I am pleased that after discussing the project and the plant’s status in time of crisis, the government’s operative staff was able to find the right strategy which was later approved by the president, the NA speaker and the government of Armenia. I am convinced that the investments made will be given due appreciation on the part of our consumers.”

The heads of executive and legislative powers wrapped up the tour with a brief visit to “Amar E” state-of-the-art and fully automated fruit juice workshop.
