RA PRIME MINISTER TIGRAN SARGSYAN'S CONGRATULATIONS MESSAGE ON CONSTITUTION DAY
Dear Compatriots,
I am congratulating you on the Day of Constitution of the Republic of Armenia.
The historical impact of adopting a constitution can hardly be overestimated now: it was crucial to our newly independent Republic as the constitution enabled us to reinstate the nationhood and build up a solid groundwork for engineering a new state and a new legal system in Armenia.
The Constitution prescribes that Armenia is a democratic, welfare-oriented and a rule-of-law State. These noble values oblige us to exercise consistent efforts towards the preservation and strengthening thereof. We must provide for everybody
's equality before the law, promote social equity in the country, uphold the sense of justice of our citizens so as everyone can enjoy his rights and legitimate interests as defined by the Constitution.Reiterating my congratulations on the Day of Constitution, I wish all of us a firm belief in the future day of our people and sovereign Armenian statehood.
