RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation of prosecutor general office representatives from the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, Belarus, Hungary, Georgia, Lithuania, as well as the executive secretary of CIS-member States' PGO coordination council, who have arrived in our country on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of founding of Armenia's Office of Prosecutor General.


According to the Prime Minister, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the RA Office of Prosecutor General offers a nice opportunity for summing up the work done so far and push ahead with planned action account taken of all those challenges and requirements stemming from the reform of the office of prosecutor general and based on the public's expectations from this agency. Welcoming this meeting of counterparts, Tigran Sargsyan said that apart from being an occasion for celebrating the anniversary, the jubilee provided a forum for exchange of know-how, joint discussion of the existing problems, finding ways for their decision, as well as pushing ahead the reform process.


The delegation thanked the Prime Minister for invitation and a warm reception by stating that for many years now they have been cooperating in the field of crime prevention. Several bilateral cooperation-related instruments have been signed under which they help each other and strengthen ties whenever possible. The Prime Minister asked them to present the reforms underway in their countries and speak about their current achievements and difficulties. All the sides agreed in that the challenges available have to be addressed through joint efforts.
