RA President-elect, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan welcomed a delegation consisting of businessmen from Sinjian-Uigursk autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. The meeting was attended by coalition partner and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan and RA CBA Chairman Tigran Sargsyan.

At the beginning of the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Head of foreign trade and economic cooperation department Zhang Jen congratulated Serzha Sargsyan on his election to the post of RA President and wished him every success. In presenting the goal of their visit, he noted that the Sinjian-Uigursk autonomous region is going to strengthen and develop economic relations with Armenia and carry out investments into the Armenian economy. The Prime Minister welcomed the guests and stressed that the bilateral political ties, as well as the cooperation in the economic and other spheres have been expanding from year to year. In Serzh Sargsyan's words, the visit of such a representative delegation of Chinese businessmen testifies to the growth of interest to the Armenian market. In this respect, Serzh Sargsyan underscored the availability of a propitious and competitive business environment in any country, whether large or small, and stressed that the Government of Armenia was taking serious steps in this direction.

During the meeting, the representatives of the delegation discussed with the RA Prime Minister issues bearing on mutually advantageous cooperation in mining industry, metallurgy and a number of other spheres.
