RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan called a consultative meeting, attended by the CBA Chairman, RA ministers of Finance and Economy, Trade and Economic Development, the RA State Tax Service Chief, as well as the heads of the RA State Customs Committee and RA State Committee on Competition Protection.
Discussed were issues associated with the current upward trend of prices for some commodities in the country, including wheat and flour. The RA Minister of Trade and Economic Development reported that the market has been exposed to continued monitoring over this period, relevant analyses have been carried out to that effect and a meeting has been held with key operators from this sphere.
In conclusion, the meeting issued an instruction for taking steps towards enhancing transparency in and control over the domestic imports and sales circuit.
