RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan met with representatives of domestic small and medium-size entrepreneurship -heads of unions, associations, business funds, non- governmental organizations. The meeting was also attended by the RA ministers of Finance and Economy, Trade and Economic Development, the CBA Chairman, the heads of the State Tax Service by the Government and the RA Chamber of Trade and Industry. There have been discussed questions concerning the further development of small and medium-size entrepreneurship in the country, as well as the betterment of cooperation between the State and the business community. The meeting agenda basically featured issues relating to the application of the RA law on simplified tax.



Before proceeding to an exchange of views on the specified matters, the Prime Minister evoked a number of key issues. He said that not only small and medium-size businesses had common interests, but the State and the business circles, too, had common interests, as a whole. In this context, the Prime Minister indicated the importance of shaping an atmosphere of mutual trust between the State and entrepreneurs. Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that our businessmen had better join business unions and associations and present their comments and observations within this framework in order to defend their interests rather than to become MPs or get engaged in activities other entrepreneurship which will continue being the focus of the Government's attention.





The businessmen participating in the meeting first of all congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his election to the post of RA President and thanked him for initiating such a meeting. During the exchange of opinions, they presented their views on the questions discussed. In particular, concerning the application of the simplified tax, they have formulated proposals targeting the further improvement of the situation.



Following discussion, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan told the ministers of Finance and Economy, Trade and Economic Development and the head of the State Tax Service by the Government to join 3 representatives of the business circles with a view to summing up the proposals made during the meeting within a week's period so as to find comprehensive and effective solutions to the issues discussed.
