In connection with the death of People
's Artist of Georgia and Armenia Sophico Chiaureli, RA President-Elect Serzh Sargsyan sent a message of condolence which states in part:"I was grieved to hear of the passing of People
's Artist of Georgia and Armenia Sophico Chiaureli. It would be impossible to overestimate her importance to Georgian culture, cinema and theatre. Her love for art cannot be rigged. Her life and activity erected bridges between cultures and strengthened the friendship between our brotherly peoples.I extend my deep sympathy to the people of Georgia, the family and close relatives of Sophico Chiaureli, as well as to numerous admirers of her art."
