Today RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan has called a "cabinet session," attended by young "ministers," in order to take up the discussion of the agenda of latest session which was held on November 16, 2007.


The Prime Minister suggested discussing the ways for country development and the priorities forming the basis of the government program and the FY 2008 State budget law. Accordingly, the agenda was composed of 4 items:


1. Discussion of such problems as may arise during industry, agriculture, construction modernization drive and economic modernization;


2. Development of financial intermediation;


3. Formation of a contemporary and efficacious security system;


4. Increase in the efficiency of central and territorial administration.


Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan mentioned at the latest meeting that he was going to instruct cabinet members to meet with student "ministers" in order to prepare the questions to be reported as better as possible. He further said to be hopeful that the meetings so held had been successful and that there would be a substantiated discussion of today's agenda items to be reported by the ministers of trade and economic development, agriculture, urban development, finance and economy, defense and territorial administration. The latter have tried to both present the current policies and their vision of solution of specific problems.


Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan thanked young "ministers" for having prepared well to this "session" and gave clarifications concerning the government's approaches and the policies embraced with regard to the issues raised.


In conclusion of this end-of-year session, the Prime Minister wished every success to his young "ministers" and expressed hope that the most daring of their plans would be realized during the year ahead owing to initiative, endurance, faith and the confidence that they would live in an increasingly prosperous country.
