RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan had a farewell meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia Stefan Dimitrov. Serzh Sargsyan thanked Ambassador Dimitrov for the valuable contribution made to the strengthening of the Armenian-Bulgarian relations during his 4-year-long mission in our country. As the Prime Minister said, the cooperation has been developing in the quasi-totality of areas of interaction between the two friendly countries, with numerous reciprocated high-level contacts having been held inclusive of Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev's recent visit to Armenia.

Ambassador Dimitrov, too, has stated the effectiveness of the recently developing and expanding exchanges between Armenia and Bulgaria and went on to note that for the short duration of the Bulgarian Prime Minister's visit to Armenia close ties were established between the two heads of government who came to mutual understanding over the deepening of cooperation in a number of fields, and now Prime Minister Stanishev is inviting RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan to pay a return visit to the Republic of Bulgaria so as to continue the ongoing dialog and build on the Armenian-Bulgarian relationship.

The Bulgarian Ambassador said to be highly appreciative of the contribution made earlier to the development of bilateral ties by Serzh Sargsyan in his capacity of RA Defense Minister.

In conclusion, Ambassador Dimitrov said that he is leaving Armenia with quite good impressions and wants to pay a private visit to our country next year so as to convert into reality his long-standing wish of traveling to Artsakh.

Serzh Sargsyan wished Ambassador Dimitrov every success in his future activities and in private life and added that the outgoing ambassador will always be a welcome guest in Armenia.
