Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received a CDEJ delegation, who have arrived in Armenia to participate in the 2005 Summer University.
CDEJ head of department Peter Loritze, other members of delegation, in charge of youth affairs in their home countries, thanked the Prime Minister for having organized this Summer University in Armenia. In briefing him on the results of the workshop in process in Tsakhkadzor under the motto of "Active Involvement in European Youth Policy," the members of the delegation mentioned that their endeavors were aimed at the promotion of efficient youth policies, as well as exchange of youth-related know-how between different EC member States. RA Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Lilit Asatryan informed that, having completed a complex and lengthy accession procedure, Armenia had at last joined the European convention on youth volunteership movement.
Welcoming the delegation and expressing satisfaction at the successful course of the Summer University, Prime Minister A. Margaryan said to be pleased with the holding of similar major events in our country as a reflection of the appreciation of Armenia's youth policies. With reference to the practical steps made towards Armenia's integration with the European structures, Mr. Margaryan noted the instrumentality of young generation to these processes and assured the guests of the Armenian authorities
