RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan expressed condolences on the death of Armenia's national football team head coach Jan Porterfield. The message of the Prime Minister reads as follows, in particular:
"I was saddened to learn about the untimely passing of Armenia's national football team head coach Jan Porterfield.
During his short-lived career in Armenia, he managed to infuse a new life into Armenia's national football team, becoming the focus of consolidation and determination that raised the spirits of the team and revived the idea of victory. The impact of his work could be seen not only on the scoreboards, but also in the enthusiasm of hundreds of thousands of supporters and our strengthened confidence.
I am deeply grieved by the sad news. I would like to hereby express my profound sympathy to Jan Porterfield's family and friends, his pupils and all football fans of Armenia."
