RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation led by President of ALROSA CJSC Sergey Vybornov.
The President of this key diamond- and gold-mining company, which started operations in our country as early as in 2002 under an intergovernmental agreement, familiarized the Prime Minister with ALROSAs future programs and the plans for its broader involvement in Armenia through sizeable investment and new projects considering the positive past record of cooperation with local operators, the availability of highly skilled labor and a business-friendly environment in Armenia. Mr. Vybornov further assured that his company sought to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia in the areas of jewelry and gold industry.
The Prime Minister said that his government was interested in the furtherance of cooperation, as well as in the investment plans of ALROSA and welcomed the strategic entry into Armenia of major companies like this. The Prime Minister stressed that the Government of Armenia stood ready to support such companies' activities in our country, as evidenced by the cooperation agreement signed today between the GoA and ALROSA CJSC.
