RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Armenia Rudolf Perina.


Mr. Perina said that he happened to visit Armenia during his tenure of office as U.S. Special Envoy to NKR and Eurasian Conflicts in 2001-2004 and that he was very happy to be back in our country with the opportunity of working on the strengthening and development of U.S.-Armenian bilateral relationship.


Both the RA Prime Minister and the U.S. Charge d'Affaires stressed the importance of having a U.S. Ambassador designated to Armenia as soon as possible and expressed hope that the issue would be settled shortly. In the meantime, readiness was expressed on either side to continue endeavoring towards the furtherance of the successfully developing U.S.-Armenian cooperation.


Mr. Perina noted that the U.S.A. valued much Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan's engagement in the Governing Council of Millenium Challenge Account-Armenia SNCO: "Those in Washington are well aware and highly appreciate your previous activities as RA Minister of Defense
